When these guys finally heard my footsteps, they flipped the remainder of the marijuana joint into the woods
I have been a national park ranger for the last 10 years. I joined the National Park Service, because I wanted to make a difference in the community. I guess it is necessary to save the national parks plus I wanted to help with that sort of thing. I joined the Park Service as a ranger. I cleaned up leaves plus helped get the parks good to go for the stressed season when tourists would come to visit. Eventually I moved up the ladder plus became a ranger supervisor, however then I was promoted to the position of lead forest ranger. I’m essentially always on patrol. I drive around the mountain in my cruiser, watching for potential setbacks that can happen. I had to kick people out of the park not so long ago plus it was the first time I ever felt totally miserable plus exasperated with people. I came across the hikers plus they didn’t hear me coming up at all. They were smoking a marijuana joint, but marijuana is legal in this state. We honestly have massive signs all over the park that tell the people that no marijuana or smoking is allowed in the park. Forest fires are such a big problem. When these guys finally heard my footsteps, they flipped the remainder of the marijuana joint into the woods. I made the men search through the brush plus the leaves for the marijuana joint immediately when they did that. It could have caused a horrible forest fire. I really cannot remember a time when I have felt more angry than I did at that time.
