Getting a cancer diagnosis is something that has to be experienced to really be able to articulate properly.
I remember when the doctor told me that I had cancer.
Going in for lower back pain only to get a cancer diagnosis was not on the menu when I went to the doctor. To say I was stunned would be a gross understatement. With the help I get at my local cannabis spot, I’m getting through treatment better than I’d hoped. It’s a lucky thing that recreational marijuana and medical marijuana are legal in my state. For my situation, that meant I didn’t have to jump through the hoops to get a medical marijuana card. Of course, had that been the case I would have done whatever I had to do to get medical marijuana. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case because I was in treatment not even a week after my initial diagnosis. The doctor suggested that I get to the cannabis dispensary without delay to get the marijuana products that would help me through treatment. And I did not delay in doing so. However, I was a bit overwhelmed emotionally as well as pragmatically as I tried to readjust to a new reality. The people at the local cannabis spot could not have been more helpful, kind and wonderful to me. I just about lost it in there as the gravity of what was happening keeps hitting me at the most random of times. But the staff at the marijuana business just collectively held me up and assured me that the sativa and indica samples they were getting me would help. And so far, they could not have been more accurate.
