I easily became used to household delivery over the past year, regardless of whether or not I’m shopping at an eating establishment or a grocery store.
It was more simple & less stressful because I could easily avoid all of the people in public who refused to wear masks whenever they left their households. Before the pandemic started, grocery shopping was still entirely stressful for me because the aisles were regularly packed with people & the shelves were often empty when I needed certain products. This turned shopping into a truly stressful errand & forced me to avoid it at all costs until household delivery was finally launched while we were in the pandemic. Obviously there were fees associated with using this service, however for me it was worth the added expense if I could avoid the stress from shopping & risk from being exposed to infectious people in public. The marijuana dispensaries were totally stressful while every one of us were in the pandemic. Before then it was challenging enough showing up on a random day & finding what you desired to have, let alone the added stress of being crammed in a claustrophobic lobby for an hour or longer at a time while others were going maskless. When the cannabis dispensaries finally unveiled their delivery options, I was ecstatic. Numerous people complained that they were charging for delivery, but I certainly understand. You have to account for the gasoline & the wages of the individual making the deliveries. Happily my favorite cannabis dispensary has free delivery on all orders over $100. On any order lower than that, the delivery fee is $10. Since I commonly order at least $150 worth of products at a time, I regularly get free delivery.
