I was honestly used to dwelling delivery over the past year, regardless of whether or not I’m shopping at a diner or a grocery store.
It was so much easier & less stressful because I could actually avoid all of the people in public who did not wish to wear masks whenever they left their dwellings.
Before the pandemic started, grocery shopping was still extremely stressful for me because the aisles were pretty much always packed with people & the shelves were typically empty when I needed particular products. This turned shopping into a severely stressful errand & forced me to avoid it at all costs until delivery to your dwelling was finally launched during the pandemic. Clearly there were fees that went with using this service. For me it was worth the additional cost if I could manage to avoid the severe stress from shopping & risk from being exposed to infectious people in public. The marijuana dispensaries were especially stressful during the pandemic. Before then it was difficult enough showing up on a random day & finding what you were looking for, let alone the added stress of being packed in a claustrophobic lobby for an hour or so at a time while others were going without wearing any masks. When the cannabis dispensaries eventually unveiled their delivery programs, I was perfectly ecstatic. All kinds of people complained that they were charging for delivery, however I certainly understand. You have to account for the gasoline & the wages of the man who is making the deliveries. Thankfully my preferred cannabis dispensary has free delivery on all orders over $100. On any order lower than $100, the delivery fee is $10. Because I usually order at least $150 worth of products at a time, I constantly get free delivery.
